The layout I was working on before was more traditional with thin columns on either side of a middle content column. Maybe I will slap some of this stuff into that layout and see if it works better. The bare text menu on the left side (in blue font), the huge blue bar in the middle, and then the main content on the right side...put it this way. My first thought upon seeing the new design was that Firefox was rendering it wrong, and I switched to IE to see if it looked better there. I really liked the last look you had--the green Matrix-y thing. I think the main thing that throws me off is having the blog content on the right side, rather than having it centered or on the left like most sites. It's counter-intuitive to where my eyes are drawn. Oh, and the koala thing is from Sealab 2021 ("Stimutacs"). Actually, I don’t think it’s the colors so much as the design. I'm seriously interested in you expounding on your previous comment. I am pretty good with criticism and things only get better thru feedback. @Noelle - I had a real hard time not using the orange that shows on the pages (about, audio, visual, etc.) instead of the green because I really like the color, but it can easily overwhelm. So, I went with the green because it was easier to take and sprinkled in the others in different spots. Of course, I feel like the blue combo is the best and I'm sure you do too! Maybe I will trim it back to just those two colors again. All these colors can just be the Easter theme... @JFCC – What do you think of this yellow?! ;)
