[...] Negatives aside, I did get out to nine games this year (3 Yankee games) and that is around my average (I did have to sell my Mother’s Day tix and I blew off the Phillies game). I probably saw a 5-4 record, but I’d have to double-check that and I’m being lazy, remember? Papi hitting a walk-off, Lester’s first start, Delcarmen’s first win were highlights and they all happened during one rain-soaked weekend! [...]

[...] You may remember I posted about David Ortiz here and here back in June. Well, Big Papi has done it again with two walk-off hits, including a 3-run bomb last night, in his past three games prior to tonight. You think Indians manager Eric Wedge second guessed his decision to pitch to Ortiz? I’m guessing yes. I’d load the bases and take my chances with Manny. More often than not, Manny hits into the double-play to end the inning in that situation. Well, it seems that way lately, so no way I pitch to David until Manny beats me. Let me point out that Manny is still my favorite player on the Sox too and was almost as hot as Ortiz in July. [...]

[...] Second, David “Big Papi” Ortiz, hit another walk-off bomb into the batter’s eye to win the game. I’m sorry to have missed that as it would have made two games in a row where I would have witnessed Mr. Clutch in action. Make no doubt about that either. I’m ashamed to have questioned it before, but with that one and his walk-off single on Monday — that’s right kids, walk-off hits to win two games in a row — has burned any such thoughts from my mind. I truly haven’t seen anything like it in sports. [...]

"The curse must have been broken during the game as nothing evil happened while we were there, unless you count Ed getting Fiery Fries instead of Chive Fries."

Dude - you were dining with Damien for a Day - nothing bad's gonna happen when you're around me. As for the fiery fries, that's just Beerworks giving me a little home cookin'.
