Yeah, that's a good observation. I think that ring got destroyed by the Superman from Earth 2 in the Infinite Crisis. That's not to say there isn't other green K around to replace it...

Not to mention, giving Cyclops the sword is similar to Superman giving Batman the kryptonite ring.

Yeah, I agree with you on the artist. His style doesn't seem to really fit a Wolverine book.

I forgot one other element of that issue that bothered me. I thought it would be cool if he was carrying around the one weapon that can absolutely kill him dead while on this adventure in this book. How cool would that be knowing that at any given moment, someone could grab that thing and potentially end him. Not that they'd ever do it, but it seems lame to put it in Cyclop's hands should the time ever come.

If #6 isn't great, I'm dropping it. The arc be damned.

The only thing I'm reading from the Big Two is Wolverine: Origins (not counting the recently concluded Elric: Making of a Sorcerer from DC).

I have to agree, Origins was weak. For one thing, Dillon—while a great artist—is all wrong for Wolverine. Wolverine needs someone like Marc Silvestri or Sam Kieth, who can bring the right chaotic, slashy edge. Dillon seems more like a Superman artist to me.

As for the story...I started reading this because it was cool to see Wolverine back in the brown outfit. But that's not enough of a reason to keep reading, so I'm probably done with this comic for now.
