[...] JPo and Ed railed against Studio 60 in the comments of last week’s Tellyman post and I can’t say I disagree with a lot of what they say. I will continue to watch the show because I do enjoy the performances being put in by most of the cast and I do find the writing, especially the dialogue, to be be entertaining. As I said before, Sorkin be damned! [...]

@Noelle: Okay, you caught me, I watch ATM too and while I am at, I might as well cop to watching Project Runway, so JPo, you and I should discuss. ;)

Don't forget to mention Jonathan Togo of CSI: Miami. You went to school with him too, right?

Well, I won't go down my list of faves b/c I have a sneaky feeling some of you don't want to watch "America's Top Model"! There are a few shows worth mentioning though...

Veronica Mars
Grey's Anatomy - borrowed the 1st season from Jason & Karen and now I'm hooked! Too bad it's competing w/my other fave, CSI
The Office - this season is somewhat lackluster so far, but I'm sure it will heat up

Here's a tidbit for you ... I went to high school w/Nathan Corddry of Studio 60

[...] I’ve decided to steal a page from Sean’s playbook (Tellyman) and post my weekly observations of the various television shows that have found their way onto my DVR. I have dubbed this weekly feature, Tele Mundo. Both Lost and 24 will continue to receive their own dedicated columns – thus continuing the work I began last year – while everything else will filter through this weekly post.
NBC has actually pledged to air all 13 eps and the producers - knowing they had a fledgling series and a minimal order of 13 eps - designed the show to be resolved within 13, if needed. So essentially - you get one pretty decent mini-series.

Meaning - I may hang to see this thing through - knowing that I'll have some time freed up fairly soon.

Well, at least they are doing right by some folks with the fair warning. As for whether or not they actually air them all so we get a wrap-up... we'll see.

What do you think Ed? Going to hang for the rest now that you know it is a goner or just forget about it now?

Karen and I love Veronica Mars. It's the first hour-long drama I've watched new episodes of (as they air) since, um, maybe season four of The X-Files?

I'm now a little ashamed to admit that one of the reasons I like watching Studio 60 is for the snappy dialog. In fact, in addition to the Barney factor, that's true for How I Met Your Mother and I suppose for Veronica Mars also (at least I can still point to Joss Whedon and Stephen King as fanboys of the show too though).

For instance, the Battlestar Galactica use of "frak" seems to be catching on as it was parodied in last night's VM episode and I also read about it earlier in the week, either on the web or in Entertainment Weekly.

Gotta keep up on the new slang since we ain't young anymore and it's better that way than some lame tutorial in 1337 on Kidnapped.
