@Ed: Man, you aren't kidding about needing to track our comments on each other's blogs somehow... they turn into outright posts of their own.

As for GoW, I can wait on it. If you do get one and you still want to play GoW, then we'll play then. I'm not enough of a masochist to play Insane on my own and Jason is obviously tired of GoW at the moment.

@Sean - Incidentally, I wouldn't wait for me to play Insane Co-Op on Gears of War. I have officially resigned myself to the fate of never owning a 360 again - at least for a long time (year or two if not more). Until they drop in price to former XBox levels (say sub-$200) it's going to be tough to pull the trigger on the $400+ required to get up and running.

So with my name withdrawn you should join forces with JFCC for all your co-op needs.

I don't think I played enough new games in 2006 to make an accurate list of any sort, especially since I got my 360 at the very end of December. But I'd agree with Gears of War being the best of the lot, even though I got tired of it.

I'm going to list the games that I played and beat in 2006 (I played a good deal more but never actually finsihed them so I'll just leave them off the list):

1. Call of Duty 2 (360)
2. Call of Duty 3 (Wii)
3. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
4. Perfect Dark Zero (360)
5. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (360)
6. Lego Star Wars 1 (Gamecube)
7. Smash TV (XBLA)
8. Tomb Raider Legend (360)
9. Sly Cooper 1 (PS2)
10. Sly Cooper 2 (PS2)
11. Sly Cooper 3 (PS2)
12. God of War (PS2)
13. New Super Mario Brothers (DS)
14. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS)
15. Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA on the DS)
16. Metroid Fusion (GBA on the DS)

Of that list, my favorite game is hands down - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, followed by God of War (techincally it's a 2 year old release), New Super Mario Brothers, Tomb Raider Legend and Zelda: The Minish Cap.

I also started the following but never finished them:
1. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (360)
2. Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)
4. Bully (PS2)

All four share traits of RPGs (yes, even GTA: SA) and they all lost me. I think I am just growing bored of micro-management. I want to get in, kick a lot of ass and get out (or solve a puzzle or two). I don't want to worry myself about how my guy is dressed or whether he has a proper 'Constitution'.
