@Ed: Yeah, knew it was Glen something or other... man, I was going to rant on him a bit in my first Sox post of the year, but then it turned out to be this Clemens piece, so I didn't want to deviate too much.

Anyway, this guy plain sux. The guy announcing the local football games across the street from my house sounds better than him. I miss Troup, I'll take Dave O'Brien, but this guy... he's gotta go. Dare I say I'd take Meterperel over this guy? Well, maybe not go that far, but this guy has no radio voice whatsover and is about as boring as mud, when not caked on bikini girls wrestling, natch.

From what I heard, Castig and Troup didn't get along real well and I think they finally did something about it. I'll miss his booze-ball shirts and awful jokes (and impressions).

That other nob on EEI is Glen Geffner who sounds like a thrid-string Flashboy. The fact that Geffner is occupying Troup's seat is a travesty and I have a hard time listening to games these days. Joe and Jerry were an institution and its a shame that Theo and co. felt the need to shoehorn some more ex-Padres pals (Geffner was an exec in SD and is also the Red Sox VP of Communications) in a bid to control the flow of information.

I like Bill Simmons's idea that Roger's cap in the Hall of Fame should have a dollar sign on it.
