I finally got selected for Jury Duty 4 years ago. By 'finally' - I mean, from the age of 18 to 31 (13 years) I had never once been summoned. Anyway, at the time, we were living in Brockton. When the notice came, I groaned. Who wants Jury Duty in Brockton District Court especially when your 'No Snitching' tee shirt is at the cleaners?

Well, to my surprise, I was rewarded with an invitation to dive in the jury pool in Hingham District Court. And the experience was just like you described it. Every court officer was pleasant and the judge popped in a few times to warm up the crowd and let us know how things were going. Around 11:15 a.m. he told us all to head to the beach - and so away we went into the sunny, summer air.

Like you, I would like to sit on a trial at some point but here's hoping it's in Hingham. I just wanna' see some of those white collar criminals fry.
