Okay, so I'm not going to sit back and pretend I don't watch ANY reality shows. "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila" anyone? jk. I am actually a faithful viewer of "Survivor" this year. Plus, I catch an occasional episode of other reality shows. I don't see reality shows going anywhere. The networks are already oversaturated and most people don't seem to mind. On to the next season of "The Bachelor"...

[...] a bit more often again. Finally getting the post up about the Sox and the relatively short post about the WGA strike are a good start, but I have been percolating a few other posts and I figured I’d share them. [...]

May we never see another Reality show again...I would rather watch Drew Carey on the New Price is Right.....

To Sean's point I watch so few TV shows, (House, Family Guy and the Original CSI) would like to make sure they get continued and the good writers rewarded...they deserve their share and should not be duped again..

One thing that really complicates things is the bitter pill the writers feel they swallowed during their last contract negotiations. Apparently the writers feel they got hosed on the royalties for DVD sales/rentals (at the time, Hollywood cited 'it's a new media - we have to see what the pie looks like before we can decide who gets a slice') - now they are using the same argument for digital distribution and the writers aren't keen to walk down the same path.

I echo your hopes about reality TV eating it's own tail but my feelings are tempered by the fact that so many of us are sheep. That a show like Pushing Daisies has been doing as well as it has in the ratings, is a minor miracle. On that topic - I may have jumped ship on it too soon. Easily my favorite new show of the season. I'm trying to relocate Eps 2 and 3 (which I skipped) as the show did get a full season pick-up (of course, that depends on whether we see a full season of anything.)
