I, too, had hoped the Sox would get the final W here in Boston, but I agree that it was much nicer to see Lester bring the W.

I should have put a link to it in my post. Here's the skinny in <a href="http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2007/11/01/the_old_hidden_ball_trick/" rel="nofollow">Cafardo's Red Sox Notebook</a> from the Globe.

As for the fruit issue, I'll comment over on your blog since your Aunt Sharon backed me up on it.

I read in the Globe last week that the last out ball (which Tek pocketed to prevent Doug Mienkiewicz from dropping in all Mission Impossible style and swiping) was turned over by Tek to the Sox immediately following the game to be added to the Red Sox archives - wherever they are.

Am I missing something? I haven't seen a sniff of a controversy.

Oh - Off topic. I realize I may look fruity in those pics on my site but I believe that's probably just the way I look. It must be the bald thing. I don't know which I like (or dislike) more - being called Homer or being called Fruity. You are either batting 1.000 or 0.000. Haven't decided yet.
