@Ed: I assume you mean that because in my History section it says I am whiney and that screams Starscream. I suppose it poses a good question in, "if you were a Transformer, which one would you be?" If you are picking Megatron, then I have to disagree... we know that mantle belongs to Joe and his big gun...

@Pete: I agree with you on that. I think it is fair and warranted that Poe put up ads on that blog. After all, it's not a personal one per se and he is certainly putting enough time into it to foster a community, so getting a little sumpin sumpin back from that investment is sound thinking. I like to kid him about it though. ;)

Thanks for the props on the site too. I think between Poe, Red Kryptonite and I, it was a perfect little storm of creation instead of destruction!

My addiction to the comics keeps me away from toys for the most part, but you are right, once I see one I like, I have a hard time resisting. In fact, right now, I am really fighting the urge to drop bank on the EE Exclusive Star Wars Elite Forces of the Republic. I mean... just look at all those Mandalorians!!!

I enjoyed reading through your post. Amazing how much our action figure backgrounds mirror each other. Your the Starscream to my Megatron.

Whatever that means...

Ads are evil. But, unfortunately, they're a necessary evil. I have them planned for my site down the road, after I actually know what the crap I'm doing with site design, which will take a LOT of trial and error. By the way, I like what you did with Poe's...it looks absolutely phenomenal.

I think those great memories are what get a lot of collectors back into the game later in life...I know that's how it was for me. I had a bunch of X-Men figures as a kid, and when my fiancee brought me home an Marvel Legends Series 6 Wolverine, she unleashed a monster. After years, I was suddenly back in the game again. At first I kept it to that, but when they started making TF Classics, I bought "just one" and slid down that slippery slope too. So congrats on resisting the urge I couldn't. :D

Although based on a kick ass comic book, the cartoon (and toy versions) of TMNT were a little after my time, or at least far enough after my interest in new stuff like that. To be honest, I guess I never really got into the comic either, but I'm pretty sure it kicked ass. ;)

My faves are definitely on the other end of the spectrum, but then again, I am a female! My Little Pony, Cabbage Patch Kids, Care Bears and Glo-Worms were favorites of mine. Ah, to be a child again! :)

What about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I didn't play with them, but I liked the show. I suppose they're not as classic as Star Wars figures and Transformers.
