Alright - I just broke down and watched it (mainly because I'm between Netflix deliveries right now) and I actually enjoyed it more than any single episode from last season. Not as good as the first season but not as terrible as last season - meaning I'll give this a go for a little while.

Although Pushing Daisies and Friday Night Lights start this week (along with the Playoffs) so we'll see if things get too crammed.

But - Sean - all in all, I'll say its worth a peek.

Yes, Mohinder has basically turned into the Fly. His testosterone level have apparently skyrocketed, (thus his hookup with Maya), he started climbing walls, and then parts of his skin fell off (delightful). Does anyone care about Mohinder? EW.com last season called him a "Mohindrance" and I agree wholeheartedly.

PS- The Hills- really?

Oh - and while I am not a fan of when comedies expand to one-hour episodes (I thought NBC really hampered The Office last year when they demanded the first four episodes be an hour) - I thought last night's premiere was very funny all the way through. That's probably becuase I think fat people are funny. I giggle in the shower every morning.

As for Heroes, it has now sat in my DVR queue for 4 days now - sight unseen. I'm not sure I'll crack into it this weekend as Netflix just dropped The Bourne Ultimatum on my doorstep. I'm really looking for any excuse to jettison the show and everything I have heard is that it has simply lost the magic.

What I love about this is that the year Heroes debuted, people were falling all over themselves to proclaim Heroes the new king and Lost dead. I think this is what we call a one-trick pony. While Lost has proven they have a master plan and overall arc to the whole series (and has succeeded in whittling away inconsequential characters for the benefit of the overall story) - Heroes just keeps throwing every stolen idea at the wall in hopes something will stick.

Now we have dudes with magnetism powers and glimpses into a future war between mutants and humans and yet Tim Kring continues to say he knows nothing about comics. The guy has stolen wholesale from X-Men and Watchmen and its a wonder this show hasn't been sued yet. Jeph Loeb or no Jeph Loeb, I know DC and Marvel like money so I'm suprised they're not all over this.

...and if the rumors I hear are true (that Mohinder has now developed another special power - in addition to his mastery of exposition) then I am officially off this. Does absolutely everyone have to be a mutant?

You should know, my people are watching this new development with great interest... Our prediction stands.

Yeah, I still haven't watched Heroes yet. If I don't watch it by the time it has three recorded I am pulling the plug.

I watched Monday's 2 hour episode. And I have to say I'm kind of on the fence as to whether I want to keep it on my roster. I really want to like this show. It's a great concept or was in the beginning when they introduced the different characters finding out their special powers. But now it's just rehashing the same stuff over and over-- Sylar is a cool character, but I'm over him doing the whole head splitting thing to people. I'll give it another try next week, but I too am trying to keep my tv watching to a minimum so I'm leaving it to Lost and Project Runway as my must-see viewing.

I don't know - I'm actually really into catching up on my huge backlog of movies so between playoff baseball, Netflix, games and the few TV shows I have (plus keeping up with the Blog and finishing the play) - I sort of have the time pretty full. That's why I'm keeping things lean.
