Posts about the crap I watch on the telly. At least it is the fake, scripted kind and not the reality, scripted kind.

Lost: I Do

Ed has finally posted about “I Do” over at the Ed Zone. You know, if he really does get this far behind, we’ll be reading about the season ender just before the start of season four…

I kid, but he did promise it by the weekend. I suspect he’s busy like the rest of us and it has coincided with a lull in wanting to blog.

Anyway, my comments are on the post. The summary for me is, while we got a couple new items to ponder in Jacob and Alex, it wasn’t the cliffhanger I was hoping for, so I’ll be looking forward to the restart in February, but not dying for it to come.

Heroes: Seven Minutes to Midnight

Isaac from the Chapter 8 web comic

For Chapter 8, we don’t see the Petrelli boys (thank you Geez-us), Niki, D.L. or Micah. I also happened to notice that creator Tim Kring wrote this chapter, so does that mean we get more reveals than usual? No… not that I could tell. Well, on to my lightbulb moments and queries.

Activating Evolution has the original picture of Chandra Suresh (Erick Avari) on it as he finally makes an appearance. It would seem the picture swap I noted in Collision was a continuity error. I did a quick Google search and hit upon a Heroes Wiki that tells the tale. Unfortunately, I can’t read the Wiki since that will lead me down the... Continue reading »

ATHF: Global Grilling

Meatwad getting eaten by a polar bear

Much better than the previous episode. I didn’t get the title until about halfway thru the episode, but it eventually makes sense. Shake and Meatwad start off making Mucus Men. Then we get an Alton Brown reference, a polar bear eating Meatwad and Carl back to his normal self…

Go and check it out on [adultswim.com]. They run the current episode each week in their video section, so no YouTube required.

The Office: “Diwali” and “Branch Closing”

Michael thinks they are all screwed

Well, this is late and not late.

Late because it includes two episodes, but not late because I have no damn schedule you fool! No… it is late because “Diwali” sucked, and no, not the holiday, the episode… I’m sure it is just like an “Indian Halloween” Kelly.

I talked to Ed at one point after the episode and asked if it sucked as hard for him as it did for me. I told him I laughed out loud twice, told him what scenes/lines and he pointed out several others, which I agreed were okay, but still… I didn’t really enjoy this episode. That caused me to delay, delay, delay in writing about it.

Anyway, all I had was Jim falling off his bike and declaring, “I’m a drunk driver” and Pam giving Michael a ride home after getting dissed by both Gail and Pam. His revelation that “these aren’t my shoes”... Continue reading »

ATHF: Party All the Time

I had higher hopes after the first two episodes. This one felt like it was phoned in. Only two things were funny: Meatwad convincing Shake to eat a Scorpion and shove his hand into a bee’s nest and making up the sign that reads “Get Well Asshole.” Cancer is never funny and I didn’t see the point.

Hopefully tonight’s “Global Grilling” is better. Oh yeah, what happened to having funny intros?

Heroes: Nothing to Hide

Matt Parkman punches his best friend in the Heroes web comic

Damn last week’s Entertainment Weekly for starting off a Heroes cover story with spoiler warnings! I couldn’t even read the article for fear of tainting my own discovery of what is happening. I stated previously, in my first dedicated post about Heroes I think, that I don’t read message boards, etc. about the show because I want to figure this stuff out on my own. The same can be said of Lost.

Since no one answered my question at the end of my last post about Chapter 6, I’ll just forgo any full recap and just drop my thoughts and ponderings on Chapter 7, especially since I just typed up most of the content after this sentence and lost it due to stupidly using the “Undo” feature of the TinyMCE editor contr... Lost: The Cost of Living

Since “Tellyman” is probably dead, I decided I will post an Aside with a link to my thoughts on each episode of Lost as I leave them on Ed’s posts over at The Ed Zone. So, here are my comments on “The Cost of Living.”

I just watched “I Do” tonight, so get with the posting already Ed!

In the meantime, was Tellyman killed by his arch-nemesis, Google Lad, or simply kidnapped? I suppose time will tell…

Heroes: Better Halves

Peter Petrelli from Heroes

Peter tells Hiro and Ando to come to NYC and they’ll figure out where to find the cheerleader. Peter and Isaac also realize they are missing a panel/painting to complete the “comic” story. Isaac tells Peter the first panel is one that Simone took to sell.

Mr. Bennet — sorry, I won’t ever refer to him as HRG and if you don’t know what that means, good — tells Claire Bear he has found her bio-rents and they want to meet her tomorrow.

D.L. announces his presence to Niki when she wakes up in the middle of the night. I think the cop outside has super hearing because I didn’t hear nothing loud, but they came a knockin. Maybe he was lookin to get some, and I don’t blame him. Anyway, D.L. reveals he’s been set up by a woman and he knows someone who can help him find out who. You immediately get the sense that it was Other Niki because the bodies of D.L.’s dead crew were buried... Continue reading »

Tellyman 10.4

Killface from Frisky Dingo

I had a brilliant post written for last week’s shows, but Firefox 2.0 just took a big dump on me and it is all gone. I didn’t save a draft in WordPress either; gone means totally gone. I was trying to load up cbs.com and an episode of How I Met Your Mother so I could get a vidcap for the lead picture, but when it started loading their InnerTube — which came first, Inner or You? — page, it locked up because I was missing the RealPlayer plug-in. I tried IE first, but same issue except it wouldn’t set Windows Media Player as my preference there (it gave me a choice between the two). I hated RealPlayer before, which is why I didn’t have it installed, and now I doubly hate it. I’ll never install it again. Ever.

Of course, it is not like I just lost a term paper or novel or something like that. I didn’t even shout, snap a remote in half, smash a keyboard or punch a door. The post was mostly the same... Continue reading »

ATHF: “Hand Banana” and “Dickesode”

Hand Banana from Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Last night I finally got all caught up on the TV that recorded while away in Cali. That included the two new episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I missed the first since the fancy hotel TV didn’t have Cartoon Network on the menu.

Anyway, they were both so totally over-the-top and disgusting. I loved it. Carl gets totally victimized in both. I don’t want to give anything away, but I’ll bet they are both over on YouTube, so you may want to do yourself a favor and check them out.

Do it at work if you feel like getting fired.
