Lost: Flashes Before Your Eyes

Almost a week later, I have posted my comments on this episode over on Ed’s post at The Ed Zone. I don’t know if it is because of the brain cramp Desmond’s story is causing or the fact that he has the same 25 year-old microwave that I do…

Carl answers ur mobile

Our favorite ATHF next door neighbor could soon be answering your mobile or alerting you to an incoming call.

First, this sounds very cool from a technology perspective, but second, this is going to be friggin fun…

Man town

Boston.com is running a couple photo galleries on “Man Caves.” In our circle we call it Man Town, but it is the same thing.

The first one is apparently built as part of a DIY show featuring meathead Tony Siragusa. Gotta love the individual recliners in the media room.

The second is of reader submissions. Some of these are outrageous. If any of us ever have anything resembling some of these, the females may never see us again except for when we want some, well… you know… which of course, we wouldn’t get!

So, would it be worth it?

Lost: Not in Portland

Continuing my practice of commenting on Ed’s post with my thoughts about each new episode of Lost, here’s the first of the *Spring season.*

I gotta say, watching it on a larger HD set — I now have a 46″ LCD — is way better than the smaller 27″ HD tube set. Not only do I get a little more real estate, the colors pop way better. That opening scene of Juliet on the beach was beautiful…

Sox tix raffle

Registration is open for the annual raffle process for the opportunity to purchase Monstah, Right Field Roof, Opening Day and Yankee tickets. There’s some question as to whether the registration closes on Monday or Tuesday depending on if the e-mail I got or the reg page is the correct information.

If you win, remember who told you…

Lost series finale

Did anyone else pick up on the throwaway line in this week’s Entertainment Weekly about ABC’s “news of a potential series finale for Lost” in their portion of the recent presentation to the journalists at the Television Critics Association press tour?

Cost too much money? Did the producers run out of ideas on how to keep it going? Thoughts? Rumors?

Mii in real 3D

An interesting item in the Engadget feed today is about some clever artist making a friend’s Mii a reality. Can’t you just see Ed ordering up his family and putting them on the mantle???

ATHF: Ezekiel

This one aired a few weeks ago, but I didn’t get around to posting it. They actually got two good ones in a row, with this one having followed Antenna. I wish I saved the episode in Media Center so that I could give you a screenshot, but Ezekiel is a child size version of Master Shake and is just too cute, to everyone but Shake and Carl.

Anyway, he shows up and you have to believe he is somehow Shake’s kid, which would suggest he actually got laid at some point in the past, which is hard to believe. The team takes him under their wing and later find out that, well… you’ll just have to watch it.

It is good and will be repeated soon according to their schedule. Set your Media Center or TiVo for it.

ATHF: Antenna

Master Shake on stage in Antenna

Hey, it’s all ATHF all the time here at OB1og.

Well, just because I haven’t posted in a while and it is easy to catch up on this fashizzle, so you have the two previous below and tonight’s here.

Check this one out. Not hilarious, but not bad either. I think they are going up and down on each one. Read what you want in to that.

ATHF: Bart Oats

Okay, this one clinches it. This season officially sucks.

A very Carl-centric episode and it just wasn’t funny at all. Seems like they were trying to riff on Carl as Scrooge and Bart Oats — I’m sure Giants’ fans get it — as the Ghost of Christmas Past.

The guys need to go back to doing the good drugs when they write this stuff.

At least Frisky Dingo is consistently funny, but then, it is new so those guys haven’t run out of ideas yet. I’m sure it will get there too…
