Lost: Confirmed Dead

So far, so good. Left my comments over on Ed’s post. I am starting to think of adjusting my six. I might change out Desmond for Juliet and Locke for Sayid. That’s just because those two just linked up with Jack, Kate and the “rescuers.”

Lost: The Beginning of the End

Per standard practice from last year, I am simply going to dump an aside here to my comments on Ed’s post about each episode over on The Ed Zone. For summary here, my six are: Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer, Locke and Desmond.

My civic duty

Oooh… I just love it when I can use a Scrubs inspired title for a blog post.

So, today I fulfilled my civic duty by spending a day in the jury pool. I know… fun, right?

Actually, not that bad. It would seem that the folks at this particular courthouse get the fact that no one wants to be there. In fact, I think many are working on their amateur night stand-up routines. I won’t get into the specifics of their comedy, suffice to say that it wasn’t half bad. Heck, even two judges were part of the act!

The decades old orientation video even provided some unintentional comedy. Not quite like a Hanso Foundation film reel, but maybe as old. I’m guessing by the clothing and hairstyles that this thing was filmed during my high school years, so late eighties.

All kidding aside, I will say that the folks were all very nice, especially those two judges and the two court officers babysitting us. This seemed in sharp contrast to the procedural folks I remember from my last dip in the pool 11-12 years ago. As for the folks in the pool itself, not so much. Most everyone was complaining amongst themselves about being there. In fact, I found ... Continue reading »

Lost: Through the Looking Glass

Well, it’s a good thing that I watched this live in HD because Media Center conspired against me again and only recorded up until 10.40. Nice. I might need to get a DVR from Comcast.

So, I left a really long comment on Ed’s post today. I thought I should make it a standalone post here due to the length, but that would go against what I have done here this year, plus it would make it hard to match up the numbers (if you are so inclined).

Gotta say, sure did like watching Bonnie and Greta tool on the Hobbit. Sure did not like the continuing trend of killing off the island’s hotties though…

And with that, I’m out. Can’t wait for next season.

Crackalackin

You know, I finish building a Biggerboat and think I can spend some time on my blog for a while, but then a game like Crackdown gets my dollars and that idea goes straight out the window. I swear, I can’t really multi-task at home anymore, work has sucked all that out of me.

At most, I get to do two things when I get home during the week: eat (always) and watch TV or play Xbox 360. Weekends are a little different, but again, I have a hard time doing more than a couple things on a given weekend day lately. I don’t really know why other than think it has something to do with addiction. I feel like I get on little stretches of being addicted to a certain activity and that causes me to neglect all kinds of other things. This is no way for an adult to live… I think.

I suppose that’s a larger subject than what this post is all about, and it is all about Crackdown.

I have had the game for a little under a week and I am totally addicted. I’m shocked at how addictive it is and I know I am going to be sad when it is all done (seems to have little replayability once you are maxed out and completed the story and Achievements). In fact, I hate... Continue reading »

Lost: Greatest Hits

In a way, I helped write Ed’s latest post on Lost, as well as left my comments there. I told him Friday that I couldn’t wait for him to post because I had a theory I wanted to share. I reluctantly told him it then so long as he promised not to steal it as his own… what do you know, he gave me credit for it. He still hasn’t given me credit for a joke he has used a couple times, a variation actually appears in that very post, but I’m not sour… nope, not me. ;)

As for this aside’s continuation of the running joke, I’ll go with Ed’s suggestion for the two groupies sharing the bed with Charlie in his flashy, although Claire was looking pretty cute.

Hmm… this guy has to die.

Lost: The Man Behind the Curtain

We’re off to read the comments, the wonderful comments of Sean

Yeah, well, what are you going to do. Hey, instead of beating the old joke to death by commenting on a beautiful baby, let me say that Samantha Mathis is looking a bit rough these days. Man, she’s a long way gone from her turn on Harsh Realm (alongside John Locke). If you didn’t catch her, she was Horace’s chica at the start and also Ben’s school teacher on the island.

Oh, and I didn’t say it there, but I will here, I agree that Locke ain’t dead. I just forgot to over there in my rush to watch tonight…

Lost: The Brig

Ed busted out two posts last Sunday for the two episodes of Lost previous to tonight. Get that?

Anyway, I busted out some comments before watching tonight’s, so here are my comments about “The Brig” and I’d comment about the ladies, but I don’t remember who was looking particularly fine that night, so we’ll go with Kate for old times sake… oh wait, didn’t she start off the episode in Sawyer’s arms? Ick!

Lost: D.O.C.

It’s funny, Ed wrote pretty much everything I would hit on with respect to this episode, so I thought I wouldn’t write that much, but then… I did. Anyway, my comments are on his post as per the usual.

For another usual… Sun was looking right fit helping Kate with her tent, am I right? Jin is a lucky fictional man…

Lost: Catch-22

Ed has posted about the Desmond-centric episode, Catch-22. It features the origin of “Brother” and a lovely appearance by the dear Penny.

You know I can no longer write one of these without mentioning one of the ladies, right? It’s a joke at this point… I’m not a drooling fanboy… okay, maybe a little bit, but at least I’m not trolling message boards… yet.

Anyway, there’s also a bit of Photoshop action that even Michael Scott could do a better job of…
